Used  : To show that something changed or starting to happen

2-Followed by Past participle

1-Followed by adjective

3-Determined ( The ….., The comparative )

Used to show that the first sentence has an effect on the second

An adjective that ends with -ING is used to describe: What cause of the feeling

An adjective that ends with -ED is used to describe: a feeling (or how a person feels) or an emotion.

Example sentences of adjectives ending in ING

1-This grammar lesson is boring.

2- The football match was quite exciting.

3-The film was disappointing .

Example sentences of adjectives ending in ED

1- I am bored reading all about these grammar rules.

2- We were very shocked when we heard the news.

Formation:

       1- adjective + er + than.

       2- more + adjective + than .

Examples: 1- adjective + er + than.

a- Sami is older than Ahmad.  (one syllable)

b- Ali is taller than Sami.     ( one syllable )
