Used after anoun to form an adjective which means without that quality or characteristic .

Used before adjectives , adverbs , and noun to give the opposite meaning .

End =//= endless .
Sleep =//= sleepless .
Happiness =//= unhappiness .
Correct =//= incorrect .
Understanding =//= misunderstanding

EXAMPLE
USE
e.g. I visited Jeddah last week.

1) action finished in the past
e.g. First I got up, then I had breakfast
2) series of completed actions in the past

e.g. They were playing cards when the telephone rang

3) together with the Past Progressive/Continuous .
There are 2 kinds of verbs in the past :

 1 - with regular verbs: infinitive + -ed
 2 - with irregular verbs: 2nd column of the table of the irregular verbs .


There are two kinds of sentences :
1-Affirmative sentences:
Regular verbs
Irregular verbs
played football.
went to the cinema.
We visited Alaska last year.
We were in Rome yesterday.
2-Negative sentences:
Add not after  Did to make sentence negative .

Use the auxiliary did (Simple Past of to do).
