Subjunctive

What is Subjunctive ?

Is simple form of the verb.

The simple form is the infinitive without the "to." 

The Subjunctive is only noticeable in certain forms and tenses.

1- I suggest that he study.

2-  Is it essential that we be there?

3-  Don recommended that you join the committee

The Subjunctive is used to emphasize urgency or importance. It is used after certain verb or expressions 

 

Form : verb or expression + that + subject + base verb

Definition :Two common phrases used to express desire that someone do something.

I want you + infinitive

I'd like you + infinitive
