Form

Kinds
1- She 'll probably be here tomorrow .
2- I'll go and buy some.
3- I'll be here on time .
4- Will you help me clean my room ?
5- I won't speak to you again .
1- To make predictions . with ( perhaps , probably or comes after verbs : believe , think , hope , expect , be sure  , etc )
2- To talk about decisions .
3- For promise .
4- For efforts and requests .
5-For threats and warning .

Subject + will + verb1

Future will  / 1
1- My brother is going to study Biology .
2- Look out! That cup is going to fall off .
1- To talk about future plans .
2- To make predictions based on evidence .

Subject +verb be + going to + verb1

Form

Kinds
1- To talk about actions that will be in progress at a specific time in the future .
Eg.  At 9 o'clock tomorrow , he 'll be flying to Egypt .
2- To emphasize the duration of an action .
Eg. I'll be reading magazines all day tomorrow .

Subject + will be + verb + ing 

 3 / Future Progressive  
1- To talk about actions that will be completed before a specific time or another action in the future .
Eg. He'll have returned by the time you leave .

Time Expressions ..

Tomorrow , Tonight , next month , next year , next week , next Tuesday, etc . 1-
2- This month / This year / This week / This Tuesday , etc .
3- In an hour / year / soon , etc .
4- by +a point of time ( eg. Sunday ) , by the time , by then , before , etc .

    PAST SIMPLE AND PAST PROGRESSIVE 





    Past simple

    A / USE :


    3/ together with the Past Progressive/Continuous .
    2/ series of completed actions in the past
    action finished in the past  1/
    e.g.They were playing cards when the telephone rang.
    e.g. First I got up, then I had breakfast
    e.g. I visited Jeddah last week.

    B / Signal words : ( time expression )
     1- yesterday, 2- last week,  3- ago, 4- in 2002 .
    2- As soon As / when .

    E/ Form :
    - with regular verbs: infinitive + -ed
    - with irregular verbs: 2nd column of the table of the irregular verbs

    F / There are two kinds of sentences :
    1-Affirmative sentences:
    Regular verbs
    Irregular verbs
    I played football.
    I went to the cinema.
    We visited Alaska last year.
    We were in Rome yesterday.
    2-Negative sentences:
    You must not negate a full verb in English. Always use the auxiliary did (Simple Past of to do) for negations.

    Past Progressive- 2 -

    Form   

    Subject + verb be ( was / were ) + verb +ing
    Examples :
    ?- What were you doing at 9 o’clock last night  1/
    I was having dinner .
    - While John was cooking, Leo was sleeping 2-

    My grandfather was writing a book in those days 3-
    Usage :
    1-To describe an action in progress at a certain time in the past .
    2-To describe actions that were happening at the same time in the past . ( use while or as )
    To describe temporary past state or action 3-
    To describe background scene to a story 4-
